We and OLX had wanted to work together for a long time, but the stars just wouldn’t align.
And finally, on a small digital project for the Jobs category, it all came together. OLX launched a cool new feature: the candidate profile. Simple: fill in a short form with your education, experience, desired job and salary, even choose where you want to work, and AI picks matching vacancies for you. Cool? We thought so too.

There was so little time that we couldn’t shoot, so we gathered a pile of stock footage, a super editor, energy and inspiration, and made the clearest explainer ever, with a touch of sci-fi and humor.

then it got bigger

Then a brief for the Cars category landed in our hands. Yes, we didn’t know OLX sells cars either, but it turns out it leads in the number of listings. But when only one competitor is on TV, everyone thinks that one is the leader. So we made the cars talk and showed who’s the boss here.
We prepped so well that on set we had time not only for notes to the crew but also for a little chit-chat. That’s when our OLX colleagues told us about a cool idea: a Secret Santa all over Ukraine. The mechanics are simple: you pick a gift on OLX, buy it and give it to a stranger. And in return, a gift comes to you. Cool, we thought, but asked about the deadline, since New Year was just around the corner.
All in all, we had 12 days, from developing the creative to color grading in post. It was tough, but we pulled it off. Well, “we” meaning us, the OLX marketing team and a huge production crew who turned a ZAZ 1102 Tavria into a giant sack, taught it to shoot gifts, hung 580 meters of string lights, set up 1,160 festive lanterns for atmosphere, turned a downtown café into a barbershop, and were the first to get permission to shoot an ad on pedestrian Bessarabka.
While we were waiting for our gifts from the OLX holiday, a new brief came in. Jobs category again, candidate profile again. But this time with a shoot. We worked out strategic directions, then ideas, and went to pitch.

Everyone loved it, so we found a production company, briefed the director and shot a video that works suddenly and instantly, just like finding a job on OLX.
That’s what happens when the stars align: you start doing something cool, and there’s no stopping.
